主题范围
Shape Memory Polymers (SMP) are polymeric smart materials that have the ability to recover from temporary shape to their permanent shape induced by an external stimulus, such as temperature, light, or magnetic field. SMPs have attracted much attention in the biomedical field, such as drug release devices, various types of tissue scaffolds, embolization devices, etc., due to the active deformation and adaptive deployment capabilities. The purpose of this special issue is to present the latest advances in shape memory polymers for biomedical applications. We encourage the submission of original manuscripts covering, but not limited to, the following topics:
- Shape memory polymers for multifunctional biomaterials
- Shape memory polymers for tissue engineering scaffolds
- Shape memory polymer drug release devices
- 4D printed shape memory polymers for biomedical applications
- Shape memory polymer smart fibers for biomedical applications
