主题范围

The ocean is a complex and dynamic system, where technological innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration are essential for addressing significant environmental challenges and ensuring sustainable development. The rapid advancements in intelligent oceanographic technologies, including autonomous underwater vehicles, real-time data collection platforms, and machine learning algorithms for ocean data analysis, have opened new frontiers in marine research. As such, this focus issue is both timely and highly relevant, showcasing the latest developments in ocean science and technology. Organized in conjunction with selected research from the 2025 International Conference on Frontiers of Ocean Science and Technology (ICFOST), held in Tianjin, China, this issue will also feature contributions from the broader scientific community.
We invite submissions that explore novel theories, methodologies, and applications in ocean observation, environmental data analysis, and ocean engineering. We particularly encourage research that utilizes cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches across various disciplines, including but not limited to artificial intelligence and emerging ocean observation technologies, to deepen our understanding of ocean dynamics and marine environmental changes. This broad scope encompasses a variety of research areas, and we welcome submissions on the following topics (although not limited to):
