1. 您为什么选择从事相关的领域研究?

I chose to work in antennas and applied electromagnetics because this field combines strong theoretical foundations with direct technological applications, from wireless communications to sensing. The possibility of contributing to both fundamental methods and real-world solutions has always fascinated me.

 

2. 您目前从事的研究工作有哪些?

Currently, my research focuses on antennas and propagation, with particular emphasis on reflectarray antennas, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, metamaterial absorbers, array synthesis techniques, and RF energy harvesting.

 

3. 您认为五年后该领域的研究重点将会是什么?

In the next years, I believe research will focus on intelligent and reconfigurable antenna systems, AI-driven design, and metamaterial-based devices for 6G and advanced sensing.

I value the multidisciplinary scope of Engineering Research Express and its mission to promote rigorous and innovative research. Being part of the board allows me to contribute to this vision.

Journals like ERX accelerate progress by quickly disseminating new ideas, fostering collaboration, and supporting both established and emerging researchers.

Francesca Venneri  助理教授

意大利卡拉布里亚大学

  • Dr. Francesca Venneri received the degree in information technology engineering from the University of Calabria, Italy, in 1998 and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the University “Mediterranea” of Reggio Calabria in 2002. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the University of Calabria. Her research interests focus on microstrip reflectarrays, antenna analysis and synthesis, reflecting intelligent surfaces, RFID technology, metamaterial absorbers. She is member of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society, the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society, the SIEm (Società Italiana di Elettromagnetismo) and the CNIT (Consorzio Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni).
