Sin Jin Tan

- Sin Jin is currently serving as the Programme Leader for Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Honours in School of Engineering, University of Wollongong Malaysia. She worked in the semiconductor industry before embarking her career in education. She is a registered Professional Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia. Her research focuses on areas within electrical and electronics engineering, including photonics and signal processing. In her leisure time, she enjoys sports.

David Chieng Heng Tze

- David (Chartered Engineer, U.K., SMIEEE, MIET) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Before joining UNNC, he led Digital Transformation research and IoT initiatives for pulp and paper, and palm oil industries. From 2010 to 2020, he was a senior staff member and head of HetNet and location-based technologies research at MIMOS, the Malaysian National R&D Institute. From 2006 to 2010, he served as a Principal Research Scientist at the Asian Research Centre under British Telecom (BT) Innovate & Design, supporting BT strategies on WiFi, WiMAX, LTE coverage and capacity, mobility, coexistence, and convergence. He has filed over 32 patents (22 granted) in Malaysia and internationally. He has also published over 100 papers in journals, conferences, and book chapters. He received his MSc in Electronics in 1998 and PhD in Computer Networks in 2002 from the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science at Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland, U.K.

Zian Cheak Tiu

- Prof. Tiu Zian Cheak obtained his PhD in Engineering from the University of Malaya. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and is professionally certified by both the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK, holding the titles of Professional Engineer (Ir.) and Chartered Engineer (CEng). As an IET Fellow Advisor and IET Professional Registration Advisor, he actively contributes to international academic and professional communities, promoting professional development and global collaboration in the field of engineering. With over 17 years of experience in higher education, Prof. Tiu has extensive expertise in both teaching and research. His research focuses on ultrafast pulse lasers and the application of two-dimensional materials in optics and photonics, with over 100 papers published in international SCI-indexed journals. Currently, Prof. Tiu serves as a Professor at MILA University, Malaysia, and is also a PhD supervisor at the University of Malaya. He holds several key positions in the international academic community, including Associate Editor of Optics & Laser Technology (Elsevier), Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports (Springer Nature) and others. Through these roles, he continues to make significant contributions to the advancement of photonics engineering and sustainable technologies.

Obada Al Khatib

- OBADA AL-KHATIB received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering from Qatar University, Qatar, in 2006, the M.Eng. degree (Hons.) in communication and computer from the National University of Malaysia, Bangi, Malaysia, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and information engineering from The University of Sydney, Australia, in 2015. In 2015, he joined the Centre for IoT and Telecommunications, The University of Sydney, as a Research Associate. Since 2016, he has been an Assistant Professor with the School of Engineering, University of Wollongong in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His current research interests include optimization and performance analysis of wireless networks and systems, IoT applications, mobile edge computing, and AI for smart cities.
