Dr Gang Zhang

- Gang Zhang is elected Fellow of Institute of Physics (UK), and Fellow of American Physical Society. He obtained B. Sci and Ph. D. in physics at Tsinghua University in 1998 and 2002, respectively. He is currently a senior principal scientist in Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC), A*STAR, Singapore, which he joined in February 2013. Prior to his joining IHPC, he was a professor at Department of Electronics, Peking University. He has ground breaking contribution in nanoscale thermal conduction and various applications of nano materials.
Dr Salim Barbhuiya

- Dr Salim Barbhuiya is a Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the University of East London. He joined the University of East London in Sep 2021 after working as a Lecturer in Advanced Concrete Technology at the university of Leeds for 3 years. Dr Salim Barbhuiya obtained his PhD in 2009 on Structural Materials from Queen’s University Belfast, UK where he investigated the use of an alumina industry by-product in concrete production. From October 2008 to September 2012, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in three different UK Universities, namely, Queen’s University Belfast, University of the West of Scotland and Loughborough University. During this period, he has successfully completed 3 projects on cement-based materials (one EU and two EPSRC funded) involving partners from both the industry and the academia.
