主题范围

In lower-dimensional systems, electronic correlation and photon-lattice interaction become fundamental, and a variety of phenomena has been observed, which would not be expected in bulk system. Simultaneously, theoretically novel concepts peculiar to the reduced dimensionality have been discovered and developed. This has led to advances in micro/nanodevices for sensing and information technology. The exploration of these devices inspires new strategies in designing advanced photonic architecture and provides a platform for further development of state-of-art micro/nanotechnologies. This special issue invites researchers to submit original research papers and review articles on low-dimensional photonic and optoelectronic devices, aiming to advance the field and its applications.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Novel micro/nanoscale optical devices
  • Integration of the low-dimensional materials with photonic structure
  • Photonic and optoelectronic devices for sensing, imaging and energy conversion
  • New routes for commercializing micro/nanoscale devices
