Sushrisangita Sahoo
美国塔斯基吉大学
- Sushrisangita Sahoo is a postdoctoral associate in the Materials Science & Engineering Department at Tuskegee University from May 2023. Her present work is mainly focused on low temperature plasma treatment of biomass/waste derived carbon and use them as reinforcement filler to thermoplastic and thermoset polymer to tailor thermal and mechanical properties of the composites. Her research interests also include multiferroic composites, nanogenerators, ferroelectric, dielectric ceramics and polymers, catalytic graphitization of biomass derived carbon, etc. She was a leading researcher in Research Institute of Physics at Southern Federal University, Russia from May 2021 to December 2022. She completed her Ph.D. in Physics from Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (Deemed to be University), India in 2018. Her Ph.D. work was mainly focused on development of multiferroic materials by combining rare earth orthoferrites and barium titanate.
主题范围

Multifunctional Oxide Materials responding to light, magnetic field, Electric field and mechanical stress with associated cutting-edge applications
This focus collection highlights recent progress in multifunctional oxide materials that exhibit a combination of properties such as ferroelectricity, magnetism, piezoelectricity, and catalytic activity. These materials, especially those with perovskite and spinel structures, offer unique opportunities for developing advanced technologies in electronics, energy harvesting, sensing, and environmental remediation. Submissions demonstrating device-level applications, such as in-memory devices, spintronics, nanogenerators, photocatalysis, and solid oxide fuel cells, are encouraged. Research focusing on interface engineering, strain effects, and defect-induced phenomena in heterostructures and composites is also of interest.
This focus collection aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers in materials science, physics, chemistry, and engineering. By bridging fundamental understanding and application-driven innovations, the initiative seeks to accelerate the development of smart, sustainable, and efficient materials solutions for future technologies.
